Not Me Monday

I did not put the kids I was babysitting to bed an hour early, just for my sanity

I would never forget to put detergent in the laundry, realize it as I was putting it in the dryer, do a smell test and dry it, fold it and put it away without rewashing with detergent to save $3, not me

I would never keep a secret from someone in order to surprise them... not me!

I did not purchase a Baby Wrap carrier... although I do not currently possess any babies, just because I can't wait to carry my babies around in one.

I did not decide half way through packing that I was done and just shove my stuff into garbage bags and load them into my car, not me!

I did not load up the car drive 15min away and park it for the entire weekend in order to babysit 2 beautiful girls, not me!

I did not enjoy the wonderful sunshine and warmth by taking the girls out in the stroller twice a day, not me!

I did not convince my little sis to trade her full-size bed for my twin-sized bed, I would never be that sneaky, not me!

I did not get my mom and dad matching "I love my Husband/Wife" shirts for mother's/father's day, not me, that would be way to gooshy!

I did not, actually enjoy attending my home church for the first time in a long while, and for once not feel like I didn't belong there anymore after being away at college, not me!

I did not go to bed at 7pm on Sunday night and spend 4 hours online under the covers, not me!

I did not nearly jump up and down in the store when I saw that Fla-vor-ice 100 pack boxes were available again due to the summer coming, and I sure do not eat 10 in one sitting, not me!

I am not going to the daycare to help out in the infant room without being on payroll just because I miss being surrounded by 7 crying, crawling, spitting-up, drooling, mess-making cuddly, sweet babies, not me, I have relaxing to do on summer break!

I did not get a bit bummed on Sunday when the pastor chose to preach on Hannah and Samuel, thinking about how I may be brokenhearted like Hannah was when she was barren, not me I am positive about my future with Endometriosis

I do not still miss Elianna everyday, yet am afraid to call her mother, not because of what she may say, but because of what she may not say or do...

I am not at all looking forward to going to the U.P. (Michigan's upper peninsula) to visit the people I loved with while attending NMU for a year, not me!

I did not say things I never thought I would say to someone whom many think would not deserve empathy and compassion, and I think it was a blessing to both of us.

Not Me monday.... STELLAN STYLE

Not Me Monday is usually hosted by MckMama however with baby Stellan still in SVT at Children's Hospital the Cline Family have taken over posting the Mr. Linky.


I did not sleep with my cell phone and turn off my block on nighttime updates so that I could be up to speed on Stellan from MckMama's tweets all week.

I did not make a fool of myself asking the Dean of the Chapel to pose with Stellan's name, so he could go to college.

I did not spend hours reading other's tweets about Stellan, praying over MckMama's blog after reading it, nor was I late to class one day because I had to read the updates!

I do not have people on campus asking me how Stellan is doing

I do not mention to everyone when they ask "how are you" that "I am ok, but my friend's baby is really sick..."

I do not whisper Stellan's name in a quite quick prayer all day long

I am not going to be late to class, because I had to finish this post!

Aunt Pat has high BP, Not now!

People are hurting and confused, Not Now!

A friend from K-12's mom is really sick and in the hospital,renal failure and blood clots. Not now!

Babies with cancer, Not Now!



Stellan is in the hospital with SVT (Supra Ventricular Tachycardia=very high heart rate)like he had in-utero, Not now!

Richard (whom I lived with up north while attending NMU) is in the hospital on life-support, has pneumonia, blood clots. NOT now!

Please Lord, not now...

I did not while babysitting MSC (many small children) look up and see child 2 to wipe his nose on his shirt and ignore it because I was coloring with child 1, not me I am super observant!

I did not get bummed when i missed the 4mil mark on MckMama's blog, I would never be bummed about something like that!

I did not miss work on Friday due to an unexplained rash thinking it was something caught from the kids, when it was really a stress rash, not me! I am the epiphany of calm.

I have not spent hours this weekend "shaking my hips" as a dancing machine, not me!

I did not cuss out loud upon opening my bill for registration for next semester, not me!

I did not leave my dirty socks on the floor for several hours just because my roommate is not here (It's Winter Break) and feel slightly naughty about it.

I did not spend hours reading blogs that I should have spent on Homework, Not me!

I did not consistently feed crackers to a kid at daycare all afternoon to keep him from crying, not me, I know the fine art of distraction and would never stoop that low.

I did not buy a celebratory jar of Triple Chocolate Chunk Fudge Frosting due to the fact that I have a complete free day tomorrow.

I did not just tell a lie on my Not Me Monday post about having a complete free day tomorrow, when in actuality i do not have a baby-sitting interview with a new family, a research paper to write, and abut 100 pages of reading and responses to do tomorrow, not me!

I am not a bit excited about babysitting for a long weekend in April for 1 year-old twins and a 4-year-old. I am not already planning activities and crafts to do with them two months in advance. Why on earth would a 21 year-old college student want to feed, change, read, play, entertain, enrich, for 96 hours straight. ;)

I am not at all excited about snuggling on the couch with my RA and watching Disney movies tonight not me!

I did not spend all weekend doing my assignments for class this week and i certainly did not get them all done, for the whole week, so that i can get ahead, not me, I am not a geek like that!

I did not have 3 Princess Chai Teas from LJs this week! who would spend that kind of money in such a short time, not me!

I did not baby-sit for a precious 10-week-old and her very verbal and wonderful 2-year-old sister on Saturday night instead of hanging out with my house mates, not me!

I am not looking forward to staying up all night on wednesday to count the homeless with a local advocacy center

I am not still buzzing from helping to lead worship during the Gathering I did not forget how much i love to be on stage, especially the stage in mighty Dimnent not me!

I am not at all looking forward to work, not me! who would want to spend the afternoon wiping noses and changing diapers? Not me!

I do not miss talking to certain people!

• I did not fall asleep last night with my computer for a whole half an hour and wake up very confused thinking it was morning, though technically it was 12:30am!
• I did not sleep until 10:30 today and miss chapel
• I did not curse the milky snow falling outside my window and wonder who called in sick to work today and wished i could.
  
• I would never have raw cookie dough for breakfast
  
• and it is a good thing that my friend did not have a funeral for her good friend yesterday cause I do not like it when other people are in pain and since it is not right for two young people to die within a week of each other.

nope it is a very good thing none of these things happened

I did not mess up the 2nd verse of the song i say today at Kyle's funeral
I did not eat 6 cookies at the visitation at the funeral home
I did not wish that i did not have to go back to school
I did not realize how much i actually love my family

I did not spend this day off from school because of the plague watching tv and hanging out with my roomies instead of studying.

i did not dance around the house to HSM songs all evening, NOT ME!

I did not secretly wish the plague upon my professor so i would not have to attend class on Thursday

I did not receive an email from the college about being a hand washing police officer asking that I stop people from leaving the bathroom without washing their hands and to make sure people sing the happy birthday song while they scrub.

I did not eat m&ms for breakfast

I am so glad that i did not do all these things today!

No Me Monday

I did not check Mckmama's blog every day last week for baby news upon the hour while i was home in between classes and work... not me!

I did not eat a whole bag of lifesavors in 2 days, nope not me!

I did not secretly wish i hadn't agreed to baby-sit so i could go horseback riding, not me

I did not spend the last three hours online checking blogs and watching sunday night's episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition insted of getting started on my Homework, nope not me!

I did not bribe a kid at my work to stop messing around

i did not just waste more time by doing this blog!
