Sad...

It's been a week of gifts and joy...

Pain and sadness...

My heart aches for the Family of Abby Riggs as they wait and pray that the cancer has not returned.

In aches for the painful waiting of Harper and Hailee as they wait for a court date to become a forever family

It aches tonight for a little baby in Guatemala

For the children who are waiting there

For the ones who are hurt there

for the ones who do the hurting

because they hurt the most...

Lord come soon...

I Will Carry You

There were photographs I wanted to take
Things I wanted to show you
Sing sweet lullabies, wipe your teary eyes
Who could love you like this?

Kayleigh Anne June 23, 2008 - May 11, 2009

People say that I am brave but I'm not
Truth is I'm barely hanging on
But there's a greater story
Written long before me
Because He loves you like this

Tuesday Fiona October 11, 2006 - January 30, 2009

So I will carry you
While your heart beats here
Long beyond the empty cradle
Through the coming years
I will carry you
All my life
And I will praise the One Who's chosen me
To carry you

Such a short time
Such a long road
All this madness
But I know
That the silence
Has brought me to His voice
And He says...

I've shown her photographs of time beginning
Walked her through the parted seas
Angel lullabies, no more teary eyes
Who could love her like this?

I will carry you
While your heart beats here
Long beyond the empty cradle
Through the coming years
I will carry you
All your life
And I will praise the One Who's chosen Me
To carry you

These lyrics were written by Angie Smith (in collaboration with her husband Todd from Selah and Christa Wells) to her daughter Audrey Caroline.

Please continue to pray for Stellan and Abby as well as the families mentioned above...

SuperAbby

She was adopted from Guatemala. At three years old, she was diagnosed with a high-risk, aggressive form of Leukemia. Certain genetic complications have put her chance of surviving the treatment at about 20%.

I am praying for her and her family. Would you pray for them too?

You can find more about Abby here, on her family blog:

Abby is a beautiful spunky four-year-old who is fighting cancer with a smile on her face, a dance in her feet and a light in her heart. please keep this family in your prayers and visit their blog
